On your own with Hotel Vouchers and a Rental Car Nothing could be as fun and easy as an independent fly-drive vacation in Australia and New Zealand. Your first three nights' accommodations in Australia are pre-booked by us, allowing you to explore either Sydney or Melbourne at your leisure. Pick up your rental car after that and you are free to explore the countryside after that - you could even drive between Sydney and Melbourne if you like, thus checking out both cities! Your travel documents will include hotel vouchers and a directory. Each voucher is good for one night's accommodation at select Best Western motels (depending on the category booked by you - either Gold or Silver). All hotel taxes are included. In New Zealand, you pick up your rental car upon arrival and drop it off before you leave. Accommodations are again flexible, using a similar hotel voucher system. You can plan your itinerary and pre-book your accommodations before leaving the US, or you can use the local toll free numbers in Australia & New Zealand to make reservations as you go along. You are at complete liberty to choose where you stay - spend each night in a different place or stay at the same hotel for several nights. It is important to remember that while a voucher is valid for overnight accommodation, it does not automatically guarantee the availability of a room in the hotel of your choice - hence we always recommend advance reservations.

| Departs Daily | We offer two categories of accommodation: Silver hotels are carefully selected for their excellent value - all rooms have private facilities and a tea/coffee maker. Gold hotels are better located, offer more spacious rooms with better amenities and a higher standard of service.
The departure date determines the price applicable. All prices are per person and based on twin-share accommodation. A $100 surcharge applies for bookings made within 30 days of the departure date. The tour price does not include meals (other than those indicated), personal expenses and travel / rental car insurance. |
